Last week, Draft Huddle examined players who should be sought in Redraft leagues but faded in Dynasty fantasy football formats.

These NFLers are designed for the long haul — but not early in Redraft fantasy football leagues. Draft Huddle peeks at hits in Dynasty and misses in Redraft.

Not surprisingly, the list included mostly aging veterans. You can read that here.

This time, we flip the script and look at Dynasty heroes — all rookies — those who are not necessarily hot commodities in Redraft formats. They’re listed ascendingly (No. 1 = top variance between Redraft and Dynasty ADP).

FantasyPros ADPs were used for this article. QBs were left out to avoid SuperFlex versus Non-SuperFlex confusion (all listed ADPs account for SuperFlex rankings).

5. Mason Taylor (TE)

Team: New York Jets
Redraft ADP: 200
Dynasty ADP: 144
Variance: 56

Unless your Redraft league is oddly deep, Mason Taylor won’t be necessary in 2025. He’s just too much of a rookie unknown to occupy a Redraft roster spot, unless the league is TE premium.

In Dynasty, however, some managers salivate over Taylor’s TE1 status. Lanes have been cleared this offseason by the Jets to play Mason right away. He’s well worth the Round 15 Dynasty investment.

But he’s a Redraft dud. Get him on the free-agent wire if he blows up in a game.

Draft the men on this list in Dynasty leagues, but so much in Redraft.

4. Tyler Warren (TE)

Team: Indianapolis Colts
Redraft ADP: 139
Dynasty ADP: 77
Variance: 62

Warren, on the other hand, is worth a Redraft draft selection; it’s just that you can wait until Round 14.

Daniel Jones will likely win the QB1 job in Indianapolis, and we shall see if he has the gumption to target Warren as early as 2025.

Warren became one of the draft’s worst-kept secrets. Everyone knew the Colts would pick a tight end — probably Warren — and they did precisely that.

3. Emeka Egbuka (WR)

Team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Redraft ADP: 147
Dynasty ADP: 75
Variance: 72

Wait until Round 14 or 15 of your 10-team Redraft league to flirt with Egbuka. He’s a rookie — a theme on this list — and he must battle Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Jalen McMillan for targets from Baker Mayfield.

In Dynasty, though, Egbuka is a darling, as Evans and Godwin won’t play forever in Tampa Bay. Scoop him in Round 7, 8, or 9 of Dynasty leagues.

SI.com‘s Darius Hayes noted on Egbuka last week, “His arrival brings a surge of energy to Tampa Bay, looking to build on last season’s momentum and return to the playoffs with an even deeper offensive arsenal. Egbuka joins a high-powered offense led by Baker Mayfield already featuring veteran receiver Mike Evans, newly re-signed wideout Chris Godwin and running back Bucky Irving.”

“His arrival provides offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard with more flexibility and firepower as the team looks to make major strides in 2025. With the NFC South once again wide open, Tampa Bay is betting that their rookie playmaker can be a spark in a loaded division race.”

2. Colston Loveland (TE)

Team: Chicago Bears
Redraft ADP: 152
Dynasty ADP: 79
Variance: 73

Like Tyler Warren, you’ll draft Loveland near the end of your Redraft formats. He’ll battle Cole Kmet — who is handsomely paid and has been promised a TE1 workload — for attention in the Bears’ offense.

Still, Chicago can move on from Kmet rather easily next offseason, which will probably occur because Ryan Poles spent a 1st-Rounder on Loveland.

Draft Loveland in Dynasty around Round 8 or 9 and prosper in 2026.

1. Jayden Higgins (WR)

Team: Houston Texans
Redraft ADP: 184
Dynasty ADP: 111
Variance: 73

The largest variance on the list, Dynasty fantasy football, has big plans for Higgins, a 2nd-Rounder from Iowa State. He’s 6’4″ and 215 pounds, and Higgins will see action sooner rather than later because of Tank Dell’s gruesome injury and Stefon Diggs’ ticket out of Houston.

Higgins is a 12th-Rounder or so in Dynasty and 19th-Rounder in Redraft leagues. There’s no bigger discrepancy this cycle.
