The NFL Draft kicks off in four weeks, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are scheduled to select six players.
Pittsburgh Steelers 7-Round Mock Draft | 2025
Pittsburgh donated its 2nd-Rounder this year to the Seattle Seahawks for wide receiver D.K. Metcalf, a transaction welcomed by most fans.
Most onlookers believe the Steelers need some long-term roster assistance with the offensive line, quarterback, running back, and defensive tackle.
Operating under the pretense that Aaron Rodgers will eventually sign in Pittsburgh, here’s a stab at a predictive Steelers mock draft.
Note: No in-draft trades were factored in.
Walter Nolen
Round 1 | Pick No. 21
College: Ole Miss
Position: Defensive Tackle
Implementing the “best player available” strategy at Pick No. 21, instead of reaching for Jaxson Dart, for example, the Steelers nab Nolen, an interior defensive lineman, to begin preparing for the Cameron Heyward afterlife.

Pittsburgh employs Keaanu Benton as its version of a nose tackle, and Nolen would slide in to take Isaiahh Loudermilk’s spot, possibly starting on Day One.
Kenneth Grant would be another intriguing selection at this spot if Pittsburgh prefers a bigger-bodied defensive tackle.
Kaleb Johnson
Round 3 | Pick No. 83
College: Iowa
Position: Running Back
Najee Harris gone. Jaylen Warren stays. Kaleb Johnson joins the party.

Johnson is a large tailback with masterful vision, even if he won’t outrace defenders with blazing speed. A running back room with just Warren and Kenneth Gainwell would rank near the bottom of the NFL per talent, and the Steelers will need a better halfback to take the pressure off Rodgers — if he ever signs.
Pittsburgh will start the clock over at running back with Johnson in the house for four years.
Charles Grant
Round 4 | Pick No. 123
College: William & Mary
Position: Interior Offensive Line
Isaac Seumalo is a decent guard, Mason McCormick is mid (at best), and James Daniels left via free agency.

To compete with McCormick, the Steelers add Grant from Round 3, a man who played offensive tackle in college but might switch to guard in the pros.
Kyle McCord
Round 5 | Pick No. 156
College: Syracuse
Position: Quarterback
McCord is perfect for the Aaron Rodgers era in Pittsburgh — even if it’s brief — sitting behind a future Hall of Famer to watch and learn.

He won’t even remotely threaten Rodgers’ job in 2025, and that will make for locker room harmony. He’s a pure pocket passer with prototypical size at 6’3″ and 202 pounds, a dying breed in the NFL.
Ajani Cornelius
Round 6 | Pick No. 185
College: Oregon
Position: Offensive Tackle
Cornelius joins the Steelers’ offensive depth chart as a 6th-Round lottery ticket and depth behind Troy Fautanu and Broderick Jones.

Like most 6th-Rounders, he won’t play much but could develop into a swing OT. The NFL needs those.
Ricky White
Round 7 | Pick No. 229
College: UNLV
Position: Wide Receiver
To wrap up Pittsburgh’s draft, White rounds out the class, on deck to compete with Roman Wilson for a WR4 or WR5 spot in 2025.

White can also morph into an exceptional special teams asset, which is the best you can often hope for from a Round 7 scoop.
